Senior Vice President of Finance Jay Markham Evolution was acquired as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aimbridge Hospitality in 2015, and Murphy stayed on as its president/CEO through 2019. Launched in January of 2011, Evolution grew rapidly from nine hotels under management to over 100 hotels (75 under management and 25+ under development) and more than $1 billion in managed revenue under Murphy’s leadership. Before Triton Hospitality, Murphy founded and served as president and CEO for Evolution Hospitality. Prior to joining Great Wolf Lodge as CEO in 2022, John Murphy co-founded and served as principal for Triton Hospitality, a hotel sponsorship group created to acquire and asset manage hospitality assets. Our story continues to unfold, with two additional resorts currently under construction. Our Midwest company now operates resorts from Southern California to New England. There are 17 locations across North America with plans for more. Today, Great Wolf Resorts operates North America’s largest family of indoor water park resorts. The company earned respected travel awards along the way. Each garnered rave reviews from families and industry watchers alike. More lodges opened in major markets across the country. On this strong foundation, Great Wolf Resorts began to expand our paw print. Resorts in Traverse City, MI and Sandusky, OH followed soon after.
